Terence J. Cryan
Chairman of the Board
Terence J. Cryan has over 30 years of international business experience based in both the United States and Europe. He currently serves as Director and Chairman of the board of Ocean Power Technologies Corporation (OPTT).
Mr. Cryan served as President, CEO and Director of Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (GLPW) from 2015 to 2017 and is prior Chairman and a Director of Uranium Resources, Inc., now known as Westwater Resources, Inc. He currently serves as Director and Chairman of the board of Ocean Power Technologies Corporation (OPTT). Until March 2015, he served as Managing Director of Concert Energy Partners, a New York City-based investment and private equity firm focused on the energy and natural resources industry that he co-founded in 2001. From September 2011 through April 2012, he served as interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Uranium Resources Inc. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Acoustics LLC from 2007 through 2010. Prior to 2001, Mr. Cryan was a Senior Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Bear Stearns.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Cryan served as Managing Director and global head of the Energy & Natural Resources Industry Group and member of the Investment Banking Operating Committee at Paine Webber. Mr. Cryan joined Paine Webber following its acquisition of Kidder, Peabody in 1994. Mr. Cryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tufts University and a Master of Science degree in Economics from The London School of Economics. Mr. Cryan has also served as an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan College of New York Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Cryan has significant experience serving on the boards of both public and private companies and has chaired all of the standing board committees (including serving as chairman of the board) at least twice in his career. During the past five years, Mr. Cryan served as a director of the following publically traded companies: Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (January 2008 to July 2017), Uranium Resources, Inc. (October 2006 to March 2016), Superior Drilling Products Incorporated (June 2014 to December 2016) and Gryphon Gold Corporation (August 2009 to December 2012). In January 2015, Mr. Cryan was named a National Association of Corporate Directors Board Leadership Fellow, one of the highest levels of credentialing for corporate directors and corporate governance professionals.
Christopher M. Jones
President and Chief Executive Officer
Christopher M. Jones joined Westwater Resources as President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2013. Mr. Jones has more than 30 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in senior management as CEO and in operational leadership roles in the mining and energy industries. He was most recently President and CEO of Wildcat Silver Corporation, where his team effectively doubled the size of the resource twice using proven metallurgical technologies. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and the Mining General Manger at Albian Sands Energy, where he led the post start-up, stabilization, and optimization of the Muskeg River Mine in Alberta. Mr. Jones also held management positions at RAG Coal West Inc., Phelps Dodge Sierrita Corp. and Cyprus Amax Coal Company. He is a member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers and is a Professional Engineer registered in Utah and Alberta. Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and an MBA from Colorado State University.
Tracy D. Pagilara
Tracy D. Pagilara serves as President and CEO of Williams Industrial Services Group Inc., a publicly traded provider of engineered products and services to the power, energy and process industries. Prior to joining Williams Industrial Group (formerly Global Power) in April 2010, Mr. Pagilara served as the Chief Legal Officer of Gardner Denver, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered compressors, blowers, pumps and other fluid transfer equipment, from August 2000 through August 2008. He also had responsibility for other roles during his tenure with Gardner Denver, including Vice President of Administration, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary.
Prior to joining Gardner Denver, Mr. Pagilara held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal departments of Verizon Communications/GTE Corporation from August 1996 to August 2000 and Kellwood Company from May 1993 to August 1996, ultimately serving in the role of Assistant General Counsel for each company. Mr. Pagilara has a B.S. in Accounting and a J.D. from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Missouri and Illinois State Bars and a Certified Public Accountant.
Karli S. Anderson
Karli S. Anderson has over 15 years of experience in finance and capital markets in the mining industry. In addition to her board service with Westwater, she currently is a General Partner of Carteggi Holdings and a Board Member of the Women’s Mining Coalition. She previously served as Vice President, Investor Relations for Royal Gold, Inc., a precious metals stream and royalty company engaged in the acquisition and management of precious metal streams, royalties, and similar production-based interests with over 190 properties on six continents. Previously, Karli was a Senior Director of Investor Relations for Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the world’s largest gold producers, and Director of Investor Relations at Coeur Mining, a major silver and gold producer. Karli has an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and she is an NACD governance fellow.
Deborah A. Peacock
Deborah Peacock is an attorney licensed to practice law in New Mexico, Colorado and New York, and is a Registered Patent Attorney. Ms. Peacock is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and New Mexico. Ms. Peacock obtained her bachelors of science degree (B.S.) in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and her law degree (J.D.) from Harvard Law School. Ms. Peacock is the President, CEO, Managing Director and owner of Peacock Law P.C.
Ms. Peacock serves on the Board of Directors of THEMAC Resources Group, Ltd. (and Chairs its Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of its Audit Committee) as well as its wholly-owned subsidiary New Mexico Copper Corp (since 2017). She serves on the Board of Directors of New Mexico Gas Company (since 2017), and the Board of Directors of Emera Technologies, LLC (since 2018); both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Emera, Inc. Ms. Peacock serves on the Board of Regents of New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology (since 2011) and currently serves as the Chair. Ms. Peacock has served on the New Mexico Mining Safety Board since 2015. She is on the Committee on Earth Resources of the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine (since 2020), and recently served as an expert on mining for the Government Accountability Office. In addition to her current Board service, Ms. Peacock previously served on the New Mexico Environmental Improvement Board (Chair); and was on the Board of The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum (Audit and Executive Committees). She previously worked at Kennecott Copper Corporation (Rio Tinto) in Salt Lake City, and Renison Tin (Metals X) in Tasmania.
Ms. Peacock co-founded the Greater New Mexico Chapter of Women Corporate Directors in 2014 and currently serves as a Chapter Chair. She is also a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors. She brings to the Board extensive experience in corporate governance, financial oversight, a wide variety of business and corporate legal expertise including intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, and has knowledge/experience in the mining and metallurgy industries, Federal and state environmental laws and regulations, permitting, and social license to operate.
