In recent calls with the White House, U.S. and Canadian executives urged the Biden Administration to rapidly help them build out graphite mines and processing facilities. Jon Jacobs, CCO of Westwater Resources, who participated in the calls, commented that the U.S. should enforce existing tariffs on imported Chinese materials in order to improve competitiveness for domestic producers.
